1973 Giro d’Italia Race Route Map
Race Route:
After submitting a request for the Giro’s Grand in 1972, Belgium got the start in 1973. The Giro would begin with a prologue TT around Verviers, Wallonia in Belgium.
The race route started in Verviers before heading through (over three stages) The Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, France, and Switzerland. The media nicknamed it the "Giro of Europe."
